EHS Coordinator

Position Overview: 

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

• Establish relationships within the workplace to drive a speak-up culture and support in
  developing a strong safety culture.
• Hazard risk identification / analysis / assessments
• Assist in the development and deployment of health and safety initiatives
• Implement employee-training programs as indicated by regulatory guidelines, hazardous
  condition monitoring, customer demands, and use of safety equipment, including authorized
  level training
• Identify opportunities to eliminate workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems, with the
  goal of continuously improving current processes.
• Use resources to identify and warn employees about potential hazards.
• Ensure that Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) / Safety Work Practices (SWP) are
  maintained and communicated to employees.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations
• Audit safety equipment and recommends replacements, i.e. fall arrest, steps/ladders, tools, first
  aid response equipment, etc.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Manage work related incidents with a focus on case management
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rulesPerforms other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Completion of OSHA certification and courses, some college preferred.

• 2-4 years Safety experience preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Inventory Management Software
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment
• Self-motivated individual with a bias toward action
• Dependable and reliable
• Must be able to be “on-call” for emergencies when necessary.
